TAS Online, a pump specialist company,was formed in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2000. The company is focused on helping pump users improve pumping system efficiency and reliability in order to reduce both electricity and maintenance costs and improve production. Pump performance and condition audits On-site hydraulic pump tests are carried out by accurately measuring flow, pressure and power to determine efficiency, where the pump is operating on its curve, its state of wear and how these relate to pumping cost. Full spectrum vibration analysis reveals actions required to prevent breakdowns and reduce costs. Mine column thickness auditing is performed annually on all suction and delivery pipes in the pump stations to the point where it enters the shaft. Pump alignment is performed on pumps in various industry sectors. Measurement Services Flow meter accuracy verification is performed on installed flow meters where in situ calibration is not possible and the meter cannot be removed for laboratory calibration. On site flow, pressure and energy logging is performed at mining, municipal and industrial clients with data being stored on the instrument or logged using a GSM enabled logger. Pump Monitoring Our proprietary software, TAS PumpMonitor, stores and analyses data from permanently installed instrumentation, enabling ourconsultancy team to generate monthly management reports consisting of all aspects relating to the pump station and each individual pumps, including energy consumed, efficiencies, volumes pumped, cost, refurbishment planning and more. Flowmeters TAS Online are agents for the Flowmetrix range of SAFmag electromagnetic flowmeters, selling the range of South African designed and manufactured flow meters into the mining and municipal sectors.
