Construction of new Bazindlovu Junior Primary School located at Quluqu A/A, Ngcobo, in Eastern Cape. The project value is R36 770 596.46. The scope of works for the project is as follows: (a) Establishment of the site and temporary hoarding of the site; (b) Demolition of existing inappropriate structures and disposing of them; (c) Setting out of new construction works for the following: Admin Block; Grade R Centre; Library and Computer room; Dining and Nutrition centre; Classroom block number 1 (4 classes); Classroom block number 2 (3 classes + HOD); Multi-purpose class; Science Laboratory; Media Centre; Learner ablution block number 1; Learner ablution block number 2; Common & Parking areas (d) Bulk earthworks and construction of platforms; (e) Excavations for bulk services and foundations; (f) Laying bulk sewer, water, fire, electrical and communications services; (g) Concrete and reinforcing to foundations and manholes; (h) Construction of foundation walls; (i) Layerworks to surface beds; (j) Concrete and fabric reinforcing to surface beds; (k) Brickwork to top structure walls and concrete ring beams; (l) Installing roof members and covering; (m) Internal finishes to top structures – Painting, Flooring, Cabinets, Electrical fixtures, Plumbing Fixtures, Alarms/Bell Fixtures, Ceilings; (n) Construction of building aprons and covered walkways; (o) Construction of ramps and storm water channels; (p) Layerworks, kerbs and paving to parking area; (q) Installation of toilets and tanks; (r) Landscaping works; (s) Security Fencing installation; (t) Netball court and posts; (u) Kitchen equipment and Gas installation; (v) Provision of new school furniture; (w) Testing and commissioning of electrical, plumbing, fire, telecoms systems; (x) Site cleaning and de-establishment.
