About this development

Construction of the Bus Rapid Transit Line 5 Project along the Outer Ring Road in Nairobi County, Kenya. Project cost is estimated at USD 59 million. Scope of works could include: the construction of a 2 lane BRT line, along the entire length of the Outer Ring Road with an estimated length of 10.5km. Construction of 3 river bridges and 2 overpass bridges of approximately 1024m and 323m respectively. Construction of 13 BRT stations, new footbridges and modification of existing footbridges. The installation of electro-mechanical works and construction of drainage system along Outer Ring Road, inclusive street lighting,landscaping and improvements. All works on the BRT Depot including, building works of approximately 1365m2 floor area. Civil works within the BRT Depot, parking spaces and access roads, fencing, drainage, septic tanks etc. Installation of all electro-mechanical works. Civil, electrical and mechanical works supporting ITS components installation. All other ancillary works as specified. The approximate GPS location has been placed along the proposed area of construction on Outer Ring Road, -1.2667425, 36.8798984.
