The project is in De Villiers Street between Harrison Street and Klein Street, within Johannesburg Central Business District. De Villiers Street falls under Ward 59 and 60 of region F within the City of Johannesburg. Overview of the works: Water: construction of approximately 3200m of new 160mm Ø to 250mm Ø Mpvc class 16 Hi impact, HDPE PE 100(PN 16) pipes using open trench and trenchless technology methods. Installation of new valves, chambers and fire hydrants and tie-in to the existing water pipeline. Sewer: construction of approximately 1600m of new 160mm Ø and 200mm Ø HDPE (PN 8) pipes using open trench and trenchless technology methods. Constructing approximately new precast concrete manholes and tie-in to the existing outfall pipeline. The approximate GPS location has been placed along the proposed area of construction 26°11'56.99" S, 28°02'36.65" E.
