Construction of the Deday wind farm located in the Afar Region of Ethiopia, within the Elidar woreda, approximately 70km by road from the capital of the Afar Region, Semera. Approximate cost of the project is $288 900 000.00 The site is located off the main national highway #1 from Djibouti to Addis Ababa. The wind project is expected to consist of a capacity to generate 134MW. A maximum of 8500ha of land shall be used for the installation of the project. The wind farm will have a potential to transmit the generated electrical power via a newly built high voltage transmission line. Approximate GPS coordinates are 11°54'13.3"N 41°46'35.4"E
