About this development
Construction of the Ga-Masemola Solar 3 Photovoltaic Solar Energy Facility on Remaining extent of the farm Vlakplaats 535 KS, Portion 1 of the Farm Vlakplaats 535 KS and Remaining Extent of the Farm Haakdoorndraai 536 KS situated 13km west of the town of Ga-Nkoana, and 33km north west of the town of Jane Furse within the jurisdiction of the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality and Sekhukhune District Municipality within the Limpopo Province. The solar PV facility will comprise of solar PV arrays, modules and mounting structures, inverters and transformers, cabling between the project components, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), on-site facility substation, access and internal roads of up to 6m wide and temporary and permanent O&M and laydown areas and will have a contracted capacity of up to 240MW and will cover approximately 300ha. The GPS has been estimated at Farm Haakdoorndraai 24°29'36.5"S 29°40'30.3"E
