Construction and upgrading of the Greater Orange Farm Phase 3A water infrastructure, Johannesburg, Gauteng. CIDB 8CE. Scope of works could include: The project involves the supply and installation of 3,000 STS prepayment water meters and Customer Interface Units (CIUs) for domestic properties, including the inspection, rectification and installation of bulk and zonal water meters. Works comprise the implementation of an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system, upgrading of secondary water mains and reticulation networks, repair and installation of erf and yard connections, and leak detection activities. The scope further includes property-to-property plumbing surveys, repair and replacement of leaking or damaged pipes and fittings, retrofitting of water-saving components, leak-free testing of installations, decommissioning of redundant water infrastructure, and reinstatement of all affected surfaces upon completion of construction works. The exact GPS location is not known and the Marker has been placed at the reservoirs in Orange Farm, 26°27'44.86"S, 27°51'08.69"E.
