About this development
Construction of the Hendrina South Wind Energy Facility, on Portions 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 of Dunbar 189 IS, Portions 11, 14 and 15 of Halfgewonnen 190 IS and the remaining extent and portions 0, 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 of Weltevreden 193 IS, approximately 30km north east of Bethal and 15km south west of Hendrina, Mpumalanga. The project will have up to 27 turbines and be up to 200MW over 2900 hectares. Turbines will have a rotor diameter of up to 200m with a hub height of up to 200m. The turbines will be connected via underground cables to the onsite substation and BESS on Portion 3 of the Farm Dunbar 189 IS. Additional associated infrastructure will include: Construction camps and temporary laydown areas, operations and maintenance (O&M) buildings (including offices, workshop, and stores), batching plant, nternal roads and cables.
