About this development
Construction of the Hobsland to Indaka Bulk Water Feeder Main phase 2, which will realize the supply of bulk potable water to the community of Jononoskop / Matiwaneskop and surrounds, in the uThukela District Municipality, Kwazulu-Natal. This project is the continuation of phase 1 which formed the linkage from the newly constructed 5 Ml. Hobsland reservoir and which terminated at a point adjacent the N11 heading towards Newcastle. The scope of works includes the construction of a 8.8 km long 630 mm diameter PVC-O Class 500 bulk potable water main and ancillary works, a dedicated 5.7 km long 355 / 250 / 200mm diameter feeder main to the Jononoskop reservoir and a booster pump station with 300 Kl wet well (Reservoir). CIDB 8: R 40 Million - R 130 Million.
