About this development
Phase 2 of the HyIron Green Iron Project in Namibia targets an early 2027 construction start, scaling production tenfold to over 200,000 tonnes of green iron per year with an estimated investment of N$3.89 billion (US$210 million). This also includes the integration of roughly 250 to 260MW of solar photovoltaic capacity paired with 150MWh of battery storage to run a stable, continuous off-grid system.
