Khanyazwe Flexpower Power Plant

Construction of the Khanyazwe Flexpower gas-to-power facility, located on Portions 1, 4, 39, 96, 99 and the Remaining Extent of Portion 116 of the Farm Malelane 389 FP, which is approximately 2km from the Kruger National Park and 18km west of the Matsulu Township, Malelane, Mpumalanga. The project involves developing, constructing, and operating a (maximum) 800MW natural gas-fired power plant using either gas engines, internal combustion engines (ICE) or combined cycle gas turbines (CCGT). The development of approximately two 500m 275 and/or 132 kV overhead power lines from the proposed power plant to the existing Eskom Khanyazwe substation.
