About this development
Construction of the Kuruman Hills wind energy facility located on Remaining Extent of Farm Corheim No. 774, Remaining Extent of Farm Carrington No. 440, Remaining Extent and Portion 1 of the Farm Langley No. 447, Remaining Extent as well as Portions 1 and 4 of the Farm Hartland No. 381 and Portion 3 of Farm Shelford No. 451 approximately 12km southwest of the town of Kuruman, within the Ga-Segonyana Local Municipality and John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality, Northern Cape Province. The development will consist of up to 38 wind turbines including turbine hardstand areas, inverters and transformers, operation and Maintenance buildings including a gate house and security building, control centre, offices, warehouses and workshops for storage and maintenance, construction camps, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), temporary and permanent laydown areas, batching plants, roads internal and access and on-site facility substations/switching stations of up to 132kV. The construction footprint will be up to 3800ha. The GPS has been placed at Farm Langley 27°34'52.1"S 23°21'01.4"E
