Construction of a modern 12-storey student hostel facility with a basement level on Plot L.R No. 4953/2149, located near Mount Kenya University in Thika, within Thika Sub- County, Kiambu County, Kenya. The development will comprise of Basement Level: dedicated parking area to accommodate both private and service vehicles, provision for utility installations including water storage tanks, pump rooms, and electrical systems and waste storage and handling area designed in compliance with environmental and public health standards. Ground Floor: retail spaces to serve students and the surrounding community, health facilities, including a small clinic/first aid center to cater to residents’ medical needs, administrative offices for hostel management and operations and reception area with controlled access for enhanced security. Upper Floors Level 1 to level 11: residential units designed to accommodate a total of 813 student beds, distributed in shared and possibly self-contained units, adequate sanitary facilities including bathrooms, toilets, and laundry areas, 8 common rooms strategically located to promote social interaction, group discussions, and indoor activities and 5 study halls designed to provide a quiet and conducive learning environment. Top/Upper-Level Amenities: recreational facilities, which may include indoor leisure areas, gymnasium, or rooftop social spaces and open or semi-open relaxation areas to enhance student well-being.
