About this development
The Namaqua-Disawell project, located 80km from Orion’s flagship Prieska Project in the Northern Cape. The project hosts the Jacomynspan Ni-Cu-Co-PGE deposit (Jacomynspan Project), where Orion has delineated a maiden Mineral Resource of 6.8Mt containing an estimated 39,480 tonnes of nickel, 23,070 tonnes of copper and 1,800 tonnes cobalt . The mining activities are proposed to take place on various portions of the farms Jacomynspan 176, Hartebeest Pan 175, Rok Optel 216 and Farm 387. The project will be an underground mining operation with ancillary infrastructure on surface for the processing and transportation of Nickel, Copper, Cobalt, Gold and Platinum Group Elements (PGE).
