Construction of a new, 1 600km, fully electrified double-track high-speed railway network on various parcels of land comprising the designated rail corridor across multiple states, including Lagos, Niger, Kogi, Nasarawa, FCT, and Kano in Nigeria. Estimated project cost is $60 billion. Scope of works could include: Excavation, grading, and preparation of the rail corridor. Construction of rail track infrastructure, including laying electrified double tracks. Erection of bridges, such as new structures over the Niger River. Development of a dedicated gas supply network to power the electric trains. Construction of new, high-capacity train stations and other necessary facilities in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt, along with intermediate stops. Installation of advanced signaling, communications, and power supply systems. Deployment of high-capacity Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) train sets.
