About this development
Construction of the Paulputs 300MW Wind Energy Facility and the associated infrastructure approximately 50 km (centre point of the site) northeast of Pofadder and approximately 80 km northwest of Kakamas in the Northern Cape. The scope of works also includes a 132 KV grid connection. The development will consist of a maximum of 85 wind turbines, each with a maximum hub height of 140 m (maximum blade tip height 220 m). The blade length will be a maximum of 80 m and a maximum of 160 m for the rotor diameter. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the approximate area of location is 28°58'24.1"S 19°30'31.3"E
