About this development
Construction of the Sakile Development Corridor in Standerton, Mpumalanga. The corridor could have the following components: commercial, clinic, RDP housing, schools, churches, creche, municipal and sports and recreation as well as public transport facilities and main internal roads. The purpose of this development is to create functional patterns, change existing land use disparities, and ensure the protection of existing prevalent or preferred future dominant land uses, as well as associated ancillary or compatible land uses. The Lekwa Spatial Development Framework identified Tsotetsi Road, Sakhile as a priority precinct that must be developed as a mixed use activity spine as well as a second and third order social nodes. The exact location of the development is not known and the GPS marker has been placed in Sakilhe 26°58'40.5"S 29°12'19.9"E
