Construction of the 400kV Tanzania-Malawi Transmission Line (TAMA) connecting Mbeya in south-west Tanzania to Lilongwe in central Malawi. The line starts at the Iganjo Substation in Mbeya and runs approximately 82.3km through the Kyela district to the Kasumulu/Songwe border post. The line continues roughly 55km from the border through Karonga and extends to the Nkhoma Substation in Lilongwe.
