Construction of the Weranso solar photovoltaic farm in Zone 1, Afar Region, Ethiopia. Approximate cost of the project is $159 300 000.00. The PV power plant will have a capacity of 150MW and a maximum of 250 hectares will be used for the installation of this project. The solar PV project will transmit the generated electrical energy via a newly built High Voltage (HV) transmission line to the existing substation approximately 4km from the project location near Mile Town in Afar regional state.
