The total length of pipeline to be upgraded is about 16 km along Gilfillan, Botha, Van Der Merwe, Voortrekker, Sutter, Marx, Potgieter, Kretchmar and Flamboyant Streets. The pipelines to be replaced ranges from 75mm – 300mm diameter. The GPS central co-ordinates for the project are 24°53'01.7"S 28°17'21.2"E
