The D2296 Road starts from Tekwane South and terminate at the intersection of D2296 / N4 road, towards Kanyamazane, within the bounds of the City of Mbombela Local Municipality. The upgrade entails increasing the two lane asphalt surfaced to a maximum of four lane asphalt surfaced road.The GPS marker has been placed at the intersection of D2296/N4 25°29'57.7"S 31°10'48.5"E
