About this development
Reconstruction and upgrading of Garsfontein road (K50) between Loristo and Anton van Wouw streets including a section of Solomon Mahlangu drive between K50 and Golda/Delfi road - approximately 4.5km in Pretoria Gauteng. Project value is estimated at R690 million. Works include the widening of Garsfontein Road between Loristo Street and Anton van Wouw Street to form a divided four-lane carriageway. In addition, a section between January Masilela Drive and Loristo Street will be upgraded to a divided four-lane road, including the provision of pedestrian walkways. Further works involve the upgrading of Solomon Mahlangu Drive to a four-lane carriageway from its intersection with Garsfontein Road, extending up to Gilda Road and Delfi Avenue. This section will also incorporate pedestrian lanes to improve accessibility and safety. The GPS location has been placed along the proposed area of construction at the intersection of Garsfontein road and Anton van Wouw, 25°47'42.4"S 28°17'01.8"E
