Intabazwe Rising Main

Upgrading of the Intabazwe Rising Main completion works in Harrismith, Free State. CIDB 7CE/6CEPE. The civil works comprise all preliminary and general items, site establishment, temporary works, site clearance, trenching, pipe bedding, backfilling, compaction, drainage, concrete works, construction of chambers and related structures, reinstatement, rehabilitation, fencing, and all ancillary civil works necessary for the proper completion of the Works. The mechanical and electrical works comprise the installation, refurbishment, interconnection, testing and commissioning of the bulk water rising main system and associated infrastructure, including the commissioning of the newly installed Telemetry and HMI system, refurbished pumps, interconnection pipework, and the installation of valves, pipe specials and associated mechanical and electrical components required for a complete and fully operational system. The works are located along the Intabazwe rising main alignment and at associated infrastructure nodes from Harrismith to Intabazwe, including the high lift transfer pumpstation, reservoir A, reservoir B, valve and meter chamber positions, and the identified road and rail crossings. The site includes pipeline servitudes, road crossing points and existing operational infrastructure requiring tie-ins and interconnections. Access to the works shall be via the existing public roads and access routes serving the pipeline alignment and related facilities. The GPS marker has been placed at the reservoir at Wilge River 28°18'24.7"S 29°07'54.1"E
