Kraaifontein CHC

Repairs and renovations of the Kraaifontein Community Health Centre, located at 303 6th Avenue, Kraaifontein, Cape Town, Western Cape. The project value is R 29 796 691,96. The CHC consists of a main building with outbuildings. The main building houses the HCU, Dental, MOU, Casualty, Pharmacy Units, Radiology, Records, ARV as well as the staff rooms and Reception. The outbuildings house the Facility Management and containerized offices. A separate security kiosk is found at the entrance. The building consists of face brick external walls with plaster and painted internal walls. The roofs are covered with clay tiles. Eaves and fascias are constructed with fibre cement boards. All gutters and downpipes are PVC. The following summary of scope of works: remedial works to the existing parking and road areas, existing stormwater pipelines and new, stormwater reticulation and surface drainage, remove and replace existing layer works where applicable, foundation and footing requirements for Decanting unit, new vehicle parking and road surfaces,new structural requirements for mechanical units, electrical installation and maintenance work in the main building. LV reticulation, small power, lighting reticulation and design, wireway infrastructure, electronic installation and upgrades, fire detection, evac systems, emergency staff call system. Upgrade and maintenance of the following: HVAC installations, water installations, medical gas installations, fire installations, ventilation supply air systems, ventilation extract air systems, air conditioning, cold and hot water reticulation and piped medical gasses and vacuum.
