About this development
Construction of a new fire station located off Fleming Street at the Port of Port Elizabeth, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. CIDB 7GB. The proposed development will occupy a footprint of approximately 1400m² and will include provision for but not limited to two engines room (2 Apparatus bays), a workshop, equipment and control room, offices with kitchen and ablution facilities, a gym, and a parking area. The site has 1 storage building to be demolished before the new building can be constructed. The designated site is situated right next to the Fleming Road port entrance and currently houses a vehicle parking lot, a small building, walls, fence, underground services, and rubble. The Port of Port Elizabeth Fire station will be located between the procurement building and Fleming Street port entrance. The GPS co-ordinates are 33°57'44.7"S 25°37'40.5"E.
