About this development
Construction of the Umzimvubu Cluster 2 Ward 17 potable water supply located within the Umzimvubu Local Municipality, Eastern Cape. CIDB 8CE. This project aims to provide a water supply to Ward 17 Villages in Umzimvubu Local Municipality. The Ward 17 Umzimvubu LM scheme consists 13 villages of which 7 are situated in Ward 17 and 6 in the neighbouring wards 16 and 25. Ward 17 villages are situated approximately 5 km south of Mt Frere Town. The villages covered are Cwalinkungu, Mabhacheni, Nqantos, Lubacweni (Spillini), Bokobana, Sdikidiki, Ncunteni, Mpendla Nyanzela, Popanani, Mkhonqo, Mgxekazi and Mpindweni. The total estimate of households and population is 25 802. All these villages are within a 10 kilometre radius. The GPS marker has been placed at 30°54'56.4"S 29°02'57.5"E as per the tender advert.
