About this development
Construction of the Umzimvubu Ward 14 water supply located in the Alfred Nzo District Municipality, Eastern Cape. CIDB 7CE. Scope of works could include but not limited to: refurbishment and repair of leaks to the existing reservoirs, upgrade the existing spring protection, upgrade 835m 75mm MPVC class 9 existing gravity main from Niyona spring to existing 1Ml Niyona reservoir, upgrade 6.00km rising main from existing borehole EC-T33-335 and EC-T33-338. The proposed scope includes the construction of rising main pipelines ranging from, 320m of 50mm diameter steel pipes, 1,2km’s of 80mm dia steel pipes, 2,87km’s of 100mm dia steel pipes and 1,61km’s of 110mm dia uPVC Class 16, refurbish the 2 existing borehole pump stations EC-T33-335 and EC-T33-338, extension of 4090m’s of 50mm PN10 and 280m of 63 PN10 of reticulation network from the existing infrastructure and construction of 14 communal standpipes, construction of EC-T33-332 borehole pump station including fencing, construction of booster pumping stations from EC-T33-332, construction of 5.375km’s of rising mains from EC-T33-332 and EC-T33-1190 and construction of associated valve and valve chambers along the rising mains including all pipe connections i.e. air valves, scour valves, non-return valves and isolation valves.
