About this development
Construction of the Anemoi Wind Energy Facility and associated grid connection infrastructure on Portions 1, 4, 6, 8, 11 and 15 of Farm Rietvlei No. 433, Portion 1 of Farm Middelplaat No.271 and Portions 2, 3, 8 & RE of Farm De Roodepoort No. 435 near Ermelo in the Msukaligwa Local Municipality, Mpumalanga. The development area is approximately 4 778ha in extent and is proposed to accommodate the following infrastructure: Up to 22 wind turbine generators; cabling to connect the WTGs the onsite substation, to be laid underground and overhead, where applicable; onsite substation (11-33kV IPP side onsite substation and up to 132kV Eskom Substation); Battery Energy Storage System (BESS); site access road - N17, via the gravel District Road D2451 or via gravel District Road D1103; internal roads up to 6m wide with a turning circle radius of up to 15m, existing roads will be utilised where possible; laydown area; operations and maintenance building; guardhouse and perimeter fencing.
