Bloukrans Solar PV 1

Construction of the Bloukrans Solar 1 photovoltaic solar energy facility on Portion 0 of the Farm Haasefontein No. 1228, Portion 5 of the Farm Hillgrove No. 2056, Portion 0 of the Farm No. 18031 and Portion 1 of the Farm Hillgrove No. 2056 located approximately 9km south-west of the town of Colenso and approximately 20km north-east of the town of Estcourt in KwaZulu-Natal. The solar PV facility will comprise of solar PV array comprising PV modules and mounting structures, inverters and transformers, cabling between the panels and underground reticulation, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), on-site substation (132/33kV), including associated electrical infrastructure, Electrical and auxiliary infrastructure associated with the on-site substation (e.g. switchgear, control building, fencing, etc.), operation and maintenance buildings, including ablution facilities and parking, temporary water storage tanks, temporary laydown and storage areas, security infrastructure including access control points, guard houses, and perimeter fencing, internal access roads up to approximately 6m wide, upgraded or new access roads to the site, temporary construction camp and associated facilities and perimeter and service roads and will have a contracted capacity of up to 237MW. The GPS has been estimated at Farm Hillgrove 28°48'05.0"S 29°48'04.4"E
