Colenso Coal is looking to construct a coal-fired power station, coal mine and associated infrastructure near Colenso in KwaZulu Natal Province. The proposed coal mine method includes high wall surface mining and a standard bord and pillar underground mining method. It is anticipated that the mine will provide the necessary quantities and quality of coal over 20 to 30 years.
