About this development
Construction of the Lukwethu Regional Water Supply Scheme, Phase 2, Contract 6 for the reticulation for villages in Ward 26, in the OR Tambo District Municipality, Mthatha, Eastern Cape. CIDB 7CE. Contract 6 generally comprises the source development, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of bulk conveyance, storage, pumping, and reticulation infrastructure required to deliver potable water to the villages of Mcobotini B, Lalini (Gijani), Ntsodolo, and Matyeni B. The scope of works could include but not limited to: supply, delivery, laying, jointing, testing, and commissioning of village water reticulation pipelines comprising approximately 33.68km in total length, including: approximately 22.76km HDPE pipelines, diameters ranging from 50mm to 75mm, PN10 pressure class and approximately 10.92km uPVC pipelines, diameters ranging from 90mm to 200mm, Class 9-12 pressure rating.
